Upon completion of this certification can expect salaries as high as USD 111,475.
The demand is high and is projected to be so for many years. Unlike other security-related certifications, demand is high and can be earned an associate credential while working on the required experience and making this a valuable certification for those who want to get into the security field.
The exam is offered at Pearson Vue Testing Centers and require 5 years of experience in Information Security IS. Continuing education credits are required each year to maintain your certification. In case one doesn’t have the work experience you can still earn an (ISC)² Associate designation by passing the exam while working toward the complete certification.
An individual has up to 6 years to complete the required experience. The exam covers eight areas in computer security, including communications and network security, asset security, security, and risk management, software development security, security architecture and engineering, identity and access management, security operations and security assessment and testing.
Created and managed by EC-Council, CEH is aimed at security officers and auditors, site administrators and other professionals related to network and data security profiles. Focused on XenApp and XenDesktop 7, the Citrix Certified Professional – Virtualization (CCA-V) require one to attain Citrix Certified Associate - Virtualization (CCA-V) certification. One can expect a salary of as high as USD 99,684. The certification is designed to judge the candidate’s ability to manage vulnerabilities and propose controls, processes, and updates to a company’s policies to ensure compliance with accepted business and IT standards.
The certification requires five years of experience in information systems auditing, control or security and passing an exam which is only offered for two weeks windows twice per year. Registration is via the ISACA website and finds out about testing locations as well. Maintaining CISA certification is required and it means professionals education credits in continuation each year.
